JESUS CHRIST was NOT his name. it was his TITLE. YASHUA BEN YOSIF was his NAME. JESUS was a compromise between Romans and Jews, THEY COMBINED JEhovah and ZUeZ to get JESUS. CHRIST is Greek for one that was anointed

So, what about the name Jesus? His name came originally from the Hebrew name Joshua and means Yahweh saves. When the name was written in Greek it became Iesous pronounced "yea-soos" and also means Yahweh saves -- an appropriate title for the author and finisher of the Christian faith. However, many Messianic Jews, and others, turn to his Hebrew name and choose to call Jesus "Yeshua" (Joshua). In Greek, the names Jesus and Joshua are identical, which can cause confusion in those New Testament passages that refer to the Old Testament figure Joshua (cf. Hebrews 4.8). Eventually, when the translators put the Bible into English the name Iesous was anglicized to Jesus.

The Bible was not written in English. What we read in English today are translations from other languages. The "New Testament" was written in Greek. Hence, the name "Jesus" is found nowhere in the Scriptures—it is a translation of the Greek name "Iesous" (pronounced "[ee]yeh-sooce"). "Iesous" came over into the Latin "Jesu" (pronounced "yehsoo") and finally into English as "Jesus." So in the most technical sense, saying "Jesus" is saying a twice-removed translation of the name we find in the "New Testament" Scriptures (emphasis in original).

That's ridiculous! Jesus is a Semitic name, but English speaking Europeans, Americans, etc. rarely if ever name their children after Him, that is not true in South American countries were it is common and the "J" is pronounced like an "H" in Spanish. There is no way to describe how the Portuguese "J" is pronounced, you have to hear it to get it.

Hey, you know, i've hear that the Hebrew alphabet does not even have a "J" so there is no way his real name was Jesus. I think it was Yashua or Yeshua...something like that.

First, Hispanic people will not pronounce it the same way out of respect.
Second, did you consider that maybe Hispanic people use the name to honor Him?
