Not certainly. It could mean just that. Do you not ever feel overwhelmed sometimes and just want a night for you? You may not yet, you may be young, or the relationship new. I know when my relationship was new, I wanted to spend every minute with my b/f and was offended if he did not, but guys are wired a little bit differently, and can easily become overwhelmed or scared off. It does not mean they are out on the prowl. If there is no other evidence he would be unfaithful, my advice would be to say hey, I understand I think I'd like a night to chill myself, it would probably be good for us. Then, 1.he'd probably think your cool and secure for understanding, and not throwing a tantrum to scare him away(b/cuz believe me if the relationship lasts, there will be plenty of times one of you want a 'chill' night after the new wears off, and/or 2.he'd starting wondering why you're so agreeable to the night off and worry you aren't throwing the tantrum. Either way girl, play it cool, don't get all psycho or feelings, and stay secure and you will look even more attractive to him!

It means he needs some space. It's not that he doesn't still care for you, but the relationship is smothering him a little bit and he needs the time alone to get better oriented.
