my bf and i were discussing random topics. we started off talking about the future and he asked a lot of q's that made me think he sees us married. Then the topics changed to controversial issues and we both stated our opinions; but our views didn't agree. he's allowed to have his viewpoint, but i was upset when he put me down, "you can't disagree because you don't understand this bla bla." It made me feel bad that i wasn't on his intellectual level, but he didn't have to be demeaning about it. after sleeping on it for a night; i was still upset the next morning and i told him he was mean the night before. i couldn't help it, but i started to tear. he hugged and kissed me and apologized but i was still upset. i didnt realize it, but after i stopped crying, i noticed he was crying. i thought he was making fun of me, but then i realized. he was really crying, hiding under the blanket so i wouldn't notice. he said he cried because i was crying. i didn't realize my crying would hurt him.

I think that he cried because it hurt him that he had hurt you. It sounds to me that you may have yourself a keeper . Men who are not afraid to show there emotions are rare. Consider yourself blessed to have met someone like this, he may not have realized that you felt like he was putting you down, and don't ever believe that because your opinions are the same that your are not on someones intellectual level. It only means that you have a mind of your own. Don't let anyone make you believe otherwise, other than that I wish you guys the best of luck in the future.

It is because he loves you, and I have to admit that I can't handle it when my woman cries either, and it sometimes chokes me up.
He may also be angry at himself for hurting the person he cares about most.
That is the "why" of this I think.

How cute. He cried because he cares about you so it made him hurt. Or maybe there's another reason and that's just another lame excuse but I don't know what that other reason might be.

in simple word it means that he loves you. he might have been mean on purpose, but he also feels your pain. i think he realized that he had hurt you even though he didn't mean to. he cried bc he CAUSED you the pain, and you suffered bc of him. he's a good guy...... plus tears are guys worst enemy....

that happened to me, he really cares about your feelings, so when you are happy hes happy and when your sad hes sad i think that he is such a sweetheart. stop wasting your time on yahoo answers and give ur pumpkin a big kiss!
