I had the same problem. After every wash there is just water left there. The conditioner has still gone into the wash, though. Take out the tray in the drawer where you put the conditioner. You will see there is a connecting tube built in to it that takes the conditioner into the drum to mix with the wash. This connecting tube will be blocked. Use a pipe-cleaner to remove any blockage, or put one end under the cold water tap and give it a quick blast (what I did). This will sort you out.

Its sounds like you need to clean it regularly. After every wash I take the drawer out and give it a good clean. I've never had it clog up yet and I have had that machine for a few years now. Just get into the habit/routine of doing this and you will get years more use out of your machine.

As above! The water is there to flush out the softener when its used , but in your case the drain holes are blocked. Pull the drawer out (if you can) and give it a clean up.

I agree with everyone who tells you to take out the drawer and clean it up. I suffered from the same problem until I realised the drawer came out! Sometimes it requires a little lift up from the front to release it from the safety mechanism.

Most likely your water level sensor is miss adjusted, allowing water level to be excessive, therefore water is floating your softener reservoir. It is hard to answer for sure since there is many different kinds of softener delivery systems.

on most washers you can take out the drawer from the machine, do this and clean it, it sounds like it is stuck closed with residue of softener or powder.
