I'm having 2 baby showers. One was October 7th, and the other will be November 5th. I was thinking of waiting until I had the second shower to send out all of the thank you cards, so I could do it all at once. My step mom complained to me that she didn't receive a think you card the next week. She said that I was supposed to send them out the week after the shower...is this true? What is your opinion? Thanks :)

I think the earlier the better... I think that waiting to do them both at once makes the people from the first shower get their card too late. I think sending them out that next week is the best idea, but I disagree that someone should complain about it!

Always send the thank you cards out as soon as possible. It only takes a minute or two, to fill out a card. The givers of the baby's gifts, need to be thanked, ASAP. Each card should mention the specific gift. (Thank you for the baby sheets, we really needed those)
I would not wait for the second shower to acknowledge the gifts from the first one.
There is nothing wrong with getting someone to help you write the thank you cards.

Yes, usually with in the next week or so people expect thank you cards. Especially when people of the first one don't know there is a 2nd one for other people. That is why they think there is a Thank you card on the way sooner then later. But One week is normal. Two week's at the latest. But yes One week is right.

You should send them out within two weeks so that should give you enough time to write them all up. And also the sooner the better. Two weeks is a reasonable time frame.

You should send them out as soon as possible, simply because it is easy to fall behind in other things, and forget all about them! Thank you notes don't take very long to write (really, 4 lines max ought to do it) and should be sent out as quickly as possible. However, I will say, better late than never at all!

Best Regards,
Holly

I'd get the thank yous for the first one out of the way now. I mean, can you imagine how many you'll be writing in November if you wait? :)

Your step-mom is right. Thank you's should be sent the same week, no longer than 10 days.

The ones from October should have already been sent.
