The only thing you can do is vacuum them up. It's best to do this at night time when they are gathered around a light fixture. Those things are so annoying.

Lady Bugs are sold to gardeners and farmers for pest control. If your house is full of them, I would suspect that a neighbor is using them for poison free pest control.
There is no need to kill them. They do not carry disease, and do not contaminate foods. They are not a normal part of the insect varieties one could expect to find in ones house (ie ants, roaches, silverfish et cetera), and the problem will be self correcting once they have eliminated all of their prey in your house.
Count yourself lucky. You have just experienced the equivalent of a pest control company visit minus the poison.

Clean clean clean everywhere, with bleach, and keep it clean.
Try an insect bug bomb or some other kind of insecticide that you can basically buy anywhere, read the directions carefully though.
As a last resort you could always call pest control like Orkin.

Bomb the house, it is the only way. Also, if you don't have little kids, toss some moth balls around. Not to many or they will run you out, just 1 or 2 per room. Haven't had any in 3 years.

Ladybugs are good insects, they eat aphids and other insects that can kill plants, you should never get rid of ladybugs. If you have them inside you might want to call and ask an exterminator.
