I'm not sure I know what you mean by "rhythmic elements," but here's an educated guess:

Triplet: fitting three notes into the space of two beats. It can make duple meter sound like triple and vice versa.

Three against Two: having one part play in duple and the other play in triple. It makes for a very dense, complex rhythm.

Hemiola: Kind of the opposite of a triplet. It's when two bars in a piece that's in triple time are expressed in duple time. So, instead of two bars of three, you'd play it as if it were one bar of six (Strong weak, strong weak, strong weak as opposed to strong weak weak, strong weak weak). It can make a lilting piece sound more militant.

Another tip: what does your textbook say?

Or you could take a chance and go with markings like staccato (short, punched accent), sfzordando (a forte accent that goes immediately piano and then crescendoes), etc. They are dynamic markings but they are rhythmic. Most people will use triplet and hemiola in their answers.
