I've got several cats. Some are brothers & some not. Most of the time they get on... Most of the time.

Sometimes they seem to have silly five minutes where they growl & hiss & chase each other around the house. Sounding terribly ferocious & as if they hate each other ... but it generally blows over very quickly & the next minute they're lying next to each, mutually grooming. Obviously the fights must be play - though sometimes it does sound horrific.

I'd make sure that the tom cats were neutered though. Unneutered toms might fight for real, especially if they got the scent of a calling queen. (Plus entire toms are more likely to spray or scent mark inside your house)

More than likely they will tolerate each other. I wouldnt expect them to be best friends but serious fighting, I would say is not a big deal. Get them fixed! That will help. Big time. I know because at one time I had 4 tom cats. All street cats too.

I've two brother cats, had them since 8weeks now 3.5yrs. They get alone fine, yes they fight sometimes but it never goes on for longs, a few minutes, as one soon puts the other in their place!

When they were kittens they kept each other company, playing, cleaning and sleeping together. They still spend time together now but not as much. If one stays out all night the other will sit by the window waiting, so cute!

We've had them "done" but even before that they were fine.

I think it's best to get two, if you can afford it, as they are great company for each other.

Goodluck!

Cats, or any members of the feline family, do not have family relationships as humans do. It doesn't matter diddly squat whether they are brothers or not. Once they mature, they will fight. Worse, they will 'declare' their territory by spraying on everything in sight and your house will stink. Your only alternative is to have them neutered. If that's done, it removes the territorial instinct, and it damps down the aggression as well. A pair of neutered toms will get along just fine, and your house will remain livable. A pair of natural toms is going to give you nothing but headaches.

Hard to say. I have a tom cat and my neighbour has his brother - both same age and we got them same day. At times they get on fine but when they fight - boy they fight. They are very terrotorial and thats when the fights start. I think you might have problems if they are house cats - though if you feed them in seperate rooms they might be fine.

Most of the time sibling cats get along well. Have they been together their whole life? If so, they should be ok...maybe the occasional fight here or there, they are siblings after all! If they haven't been together their whole life, it will be a little harder becasue they arent used to each other. Either way, it should work out ok. Just get them neutered.

You probably know the answer by now. But, usually, siblings have already sorted out their differences, and have learned to play together. However, two unneutered Toms might be a problem. I had two brothers from kittens, and they really got on very well.

Yes I'm sure they will. They might stare at each other for a couple of days as they are just wary but put them in the same house and they will learn that they either get on or have to live together anyway so there's no point not getting on.

There will be fighting to establish dominance. Things will quiet for awhile but will flare up once in awhile too. Having them both neutered will decrease the severity of the fights & further stop any unwanted future litters.

You will be Ok, as they are brothers and used to each others company they will get on great. My cat had a litter of 5 last year and a friend of our took the two ginger twins, and they are the best of friends.
