I have noticed lately that guys will flock to the 'needy girl'. The girls who are depressed and are always down.

Why is this? Is it a 'she's in need of rescue' thing?

You have to remember that guys are as insecure as women are. Usually with the needy girl they will tell the men that they are needed and that is a huge turn-on for men. To feel needed/wanted is a great feeling and that is usually what they hear from the "needy girl".

I've always noticed that guys tend to avoid the needy type.

I don't agree with this. I find that most people want to be with a confident, NON-needy person. Needy people scare others away!

Men will "rescue" women.
Women will "change" men.

Its what they do.

The real problem is:
While you can "rescue" someone, unless the change they will fall victum to what it was that caused them to need to be "rescued". Add to this you can not "change" anyone. If someone is going to "change" they have to do it because they want to do it for themselves.

This is why "rescue" and "change" relationships always fail.
