It's said all too often that is too hard to work towards being legal. It's also been said that they are the hardest workers. Funny, isn't it?

It's a shame that some people do apply and get denied. BUT, immigration laws are there for a reason. If they are denied there may be a reason. One of them could be about 20 million of those spots are filled by people here illegally.

Most do not want to become citizens, they want to work here ,send money home and go back to their own country. The process to become a legal resident is a long and expensive one and not all people can afford to come via the legal route.
Mario I don't understand your answer, why would he be jealous of an illegal alien or a hater. There is nothing race related in his post.

Do you think just because something is difficult that a person has the right to circumvent the legality and enter instead by crossing the border illegally?
If there were NOT so many illegals here then there would be more opportunity and a better chance of being able to enter via the legal route.

sure to come here legally is hard thing to do ( i know... been there, done that, 4 years of waiting and bunch of money). But don't you think that to a person who wants to be an american it shouldn't be like a reword? Yeah, i worked hard for it, but i really want it to happen and now I'm proud to say: I'VE MADE IT!

they look for an easy way out, can i blame them? yep.. you bet i can..
i pay taxes like normal american... they don't
I'm required to know english... they don't
i have to obey the law... do they? no... they broke the law by just coming here illegally... that was crime number one.

Do you know how hard it is to just become a citizen? Our government makes it nearly impossible for people from third world countries to come here legally to make a better life for themselves. It takes years of frustration, time and money. And that is just to become a legal permanent resident not a citizen. Becoming a citizen is a whole other ballpark. You should look up some example questions that are on the citizenship test. There was a story done on the nbc nightly news about that test. Findings showed that the majority of americans couldn't even pass it. Yes I agree that visas shouldn't just be handed out to everyone that wants on, but for crying out loud they could make the process go a little quicker and smoother.

The illegal aliens that cross the boarder are criminals and lawbreakers and can't read or write.

They don't become citizens because a lot of them are on the run in their own countries for crimes.

They don't become citizens because a lot of them have disease.

They can't come through the Front Door of Legality. They have to crawl on their bellies through the back door of illegal! Because they know they would be turned down!

We have rules and laws here and anyone that can't obey them needs to be DEPORTED immediately!

They don't want to go through the process of becoming a citizen. They would rather just come here, use up all of our resources, avoid paying taxes, and send money back to their families.

My wife immigrated LEGALLY from Mexico, lived and worked here LEGALLY, and applied and was soon sworn in as a UNITED STATES CITIZEN.

It is not impossible at all, she takes pride in her citizenship, and does NOT support illegal immigration.

They do not want to become citizans. Go to Wal-Mart on paydays and see how much money they are sending back to relatives in Mexico.
Their plans are to go back to Mexico and live well from the money they have saved by working in the US.

Because it is a near impossibility. IMPOSSIBILITY.
I could give you so many stories of people that have applied, paid a lot of money, complied with every demand INS made and they were still denied. Married couples (US citizens to Latin Americans), people who were brought here as infants & small children (some who's parents have legal residency!) women who's husbands are here legally - and every single one of them have been denied. For no reason - just denied.

For most people on this site these people do not matter. I doubt it will matter to you either, but that is the truth - they TRY with all their might and resouce and they get no where.
