Internet relationships can definitely be successful, granted they will be much more difficult. My girlfriend and I are in a two year internet relationship and i love that girl with all of my heart. We'll be together when we both go to university. The thing is, people will mock internet relationships as nothing because people take them so lightly. You can love someone so very much without ever being in the same country with them. Love is something personal and emotionally involving. You can know everything there is to know about a person from writing, voice conferencing, webcamming, etc... and you will learn not to take being with the person you love forgranted. There're people who get to see their significant other every day and don't know how special it is or how lucky they have it. I believe that if you truly want to find the girl or guy that is right for you, then it would probably be better not to limit yourself to distance if you think you can emotionally handle it. it's not easy. you just have to find out if you think your partner is worth it or not. for me, she was. maybe someone reading this will be as lucky.

Also people say that just anyone could lie and tell you something totally not true and/or be totally different in real life. The people that allow that to happen to them are usually the ones to rush into it. If you take your time (i mean months upon months, just as you would if he/she lived next door to you) then you will usually end up knowing whether or not this person is sincere.

Hi

Internet dating sites only supply a introduction tool, you could ask the same question if you meet someone in a bar or a club or a supermarket. It is really down to the individuals to make the rel work or not.
I met my last partner of a Internet dating site and i have now met my currant b/f of a Internet dating site.
When you go onto a dating site you see someone a email that you like and the rest is all down to you
good luck

Yes, they can work. My husband is from England and I am from the states. We were lucky when we met online because we are so happy together. But on the internet you have to beware of perverts.

It has worked on some and backfired on some. Just like normal love relationships, you never know until you have proposed one. Why don't you try in order to quench your curiosity.

IF people are genuine , then yes .
You probably learn more about someone on line than if you meet them . Obviously when you do meet this is the time you will know if it right or not .

i used to believe they can't.. then i posted up a question about it and one lady said that however god intended you to meet your soul mate it will happen.. so i guess it can work if it was meant to be :)
