This was before Greeks and Romans hijacked the Jewish deity and gave him an extreme makeover.

I always had a funny feeling it's not about whom the law apply to or the generation but rather was Moses drunk when he translated the law when he was listen to god.
I mean it's god right? The being of all beings and space beings. God may be speaking Jupterian that day and Moses losses something in the translation. You know drop a verb or a noun or two. Next thing we know instead of 147 commandments we got 10.

Hebrews 10:26-29 (New International Version)
26If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

The law is righteous..it is the righteousness of God. Now if you can find a man other than Jesus who can truthfully say he has followed them I will show you a liar. God knew man could not live up to the law. It is the reason he came to the world to overcome sin and to die to pay the penalty for all who accept the atonement of Jesus Christ. the law very much still applies today. If a man does not accept the atonement he is judged according to the law.

The moral laws such as the ones found in the 10 commandment, are for all generations. Not the dietary laws.
Live long and prosper.

It did apply until the New Covenant was established by Christ. The only thing that still applies are the Ten Commandments. They are still legitimate today.

No, and not to the original series either. LOL
But, in that world Gene Rodenberry would be god, and that would be O.K., I guess. I'm sure he'd do a better job than the loser responcible for this mess on earth. LOL

We still have the same law of the bible altough they are mostly from the new testament. We pay taxes as they did. We have jurys as they did. Exodus tells all about the laws as well as leviticus.
