We're looking for the best card for earning airmiles. We noticed some don't have an annual fee but I guess this is what we are mainly looking for: a card that has travel for 2 included not just the card holder taking in the ticket for flights. ANY IDEAS on cards in appriciated!

It's not as easy to redeem airline miles you earn from credit cards as the commercials make it sound. The most generous rewards programs tend to have the highest interest rates; unless you are going to pay your credit card balance in full every month, the finance charges are going to be more expensive than the tickets are worth, very quickly. Most have annual fees of $75-150 or more, too. Plus the airlines are not all that generous with the number of seats they will let be "paid for" with credit card miles.

I'd recommend forgetting the mile rewards approach and look into some of the packages offered by the airlines. For example, USAirways and Northwest both offer package deals to many destinations; book your airfare and your hotel through the airline site and you save a good deal of money. That gets you a better hotel and your airfare for a smaller budget.
