You'll make a great Catholic, keep believing that your going to heaven and don't read the instruction manual that God provided. If your foolish enough to think once saved always saved, then your really in trouble. People who believe that one are ignoring Hebrews 6.

Correct the as soon as stored constantly stored folks love to feel the thought that it doesn't matter what they do right here on the planet well or evil they nonetheless get into Heaven considering that they feel in Jesus. But Scripture states in any other case it is real you're stored whilst you obtain the reward of His Grace via the Holy Spirit for the duration of your baptism. But receiving those items from the Holy Spirit does now not imply you'll use those items and correctly when you do evil and do not repent for having performed evil you lose that reward of His Grace while your useless. The damned are the enemies of God and it isn't important when you name your self a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, and so forth. and so forth. considering that your deeds mirror who you quite are a believer or an unbeliever. As Jesus had mentioned a well tree produces well fruit, at the same time a nasty tree produces rotten fruit.

Blessings to you and I pray that you are doing well on this day. I want you to know that your question is one that many people that are in the faith struggle with. The bible says that you must confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. When that happens on a real level you tend to not find church or reading the Word of God a chore but you delight in getting to know your God. Understand that by reading the Word you are reading a 66 book love letter to you from the Almighty Creator so that you and He can commune in an intimate fashion and He can grow you into what you were purposed to be in Him. The worst thing anyone can do in life is waste it. I pray that you would find a Passion for your Lord and Savior and get to know Him so that in the end He would know you, and let you enter into the kingdom of heaven.

If u don't want to read don't as u belive that JESUS lift all ur sins u will go to heavens surely but be sure also that u will be very weak against the devil without ur sword (word of GOD) and u will lose a great blessing spiritualy and physicaly, And what if someone asked u about ur faith how u will answer him without ur full armor of god u can read about it in ( Ephesians 6) .
read these verses
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God. Ephesians 6 (read this chapter today).
also in 2Peter. 1:19
And we have the word of the prophets made more certain,
and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of
Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation.
For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy
Spirit.
also in Joshua 1:8
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth;
meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do
everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and
successful.

You need to keep reading the bible as well as going to church because faith comes by hearing and speaking the word of God you cant speak it if you don't know it God want all his children to be knowledgeable in his word how can you bring someone else in to know him if you dont know his word you need to be able to answer any question any non-believer may have for you at any given time so study your fathers word at all times worship and praise him all the days of your life and he will truly be pleased with you and others will see the abundant things that he has placed before you You can believe in God but to go to heaven you must acknowledge God and Jesus Christ at all times and remember to repent and renounce all wrong doings and negative speaking hope this help

2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Jeremiah 31:31 [this is God speaking about believers under the New Covenant] “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
Being Born Again is very important. However, God wants you to have a personal relationship with Him. You learn about Him by reading what He's given to us.
If someone wrote you an entire book of love letters, wouldn't you read them? What would it say about you if you read a little then put it aside?
Food for thought.
Peace.

You already know the answer. Thats like saying,"I married you so why do I have to listen to you or talk with you. I married you didn't I?" Being saved also involves repentance, its not just belief. It is possible to believe but not repent. If thats the case your not saved. There is a kind of belief where you mentally acknowledge the truths of the sinner's prayer. Saving belief goes beyond that, it turn away from disobeying God, that is sin. Which kind are you?

Believing has to be followed with doing what you believe in. It is not like belonging to your own family, wheher you do something or not you're a family. However even within family there is a title and work attached to it..as a Father in the family, you act to provide for the needs of the family. You don't just say you are father of the family. And same thing goes with the other members. Knowing Christ does not save one from his unlikely judgment. You still need to understand what is there to believe in and then work your way for what you believe in him.

It is not a question of why you might need to .... ITS A COMMANDMENT.
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Just believing in Christ does not mean you are going to heaven by no means.
James 2:19
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
There is so much blessing in reading God's word.
I pray that God will reveals to you the importance of this.
God Bless!!

The demons believe and tremble, does that mean they're going to heaven? You read the Bible to learn and develop a relationship with God, and as a tool to live rightly and set apart.
