Well, if you have to ask that question on Yahoo Answers its because either he says it in a way that shows that he doesn't care or you're insecure about the relationship. I would talk it over with him.

People with low self esteem do not think they deserve to be loved.
Learn to love yourself, then you will feel like you deserve to be loved back.
