Buddhism is not a religion in the sense of Christianity and thus cannot be compared. Buddhists do not believe in an all powerful creator God.

I would probably be curious about all the religions just like I am now. I have chosen Buddhism but as a former Christian I carry some of the tenets with me.

I would sooner or later have to confront the inherent contradiction involved with the worship of my ancestors whom I knew were incapable of helping themselves and therefore cannot be expected to help me. I would also become painfully aware that my religion provides no expiation for my guilt or transgression and therefore fails to relieve me of the heaviest burden we bear in life.
It's no wonder that christian evangelist's do pretty well among the Buddhist.
