im getting a tooth pulled tomorrow (#18 molar)im gettin novicaine.im just wondering if i will be in any pain afterwards and does it hurt the same as getin a wisdom tooth pulled?

Wisdom teeth hurts more. I didn't have pain with any of my extractions. If you do not take anything with asprin as that is a blood thinner and it may bleed a bit more.

I agree with a previous answerer that the shot hurts worse than the actual extraction. It is usually more uncomfortable than painful, for me anyway. you might hear a bunch of "crunching" noises. Don't be alarmed, that is normal for a lot of people. It "sounds" louder because it is inside your head.!

No, its not as painful as a wisdom tooth. I had 2 done recently and they were fine!!! Bit of discomfort is all

Yes, there will be pain but, your dentist will give you instructions or a Rx for pain medicine. Any tooth extraction will involve pain.

Your wisdom teeth hurt more. You will be in some pain but nothing most people can't handle. Good luck

Shouldn't hurt afterward but the dentist will probably prescribe a pain killer in case you need it.

In my opinion, the novacaine shot hurts more than the actual extraction. If you can, get some laughing gas!

You will be soar, might have some pain but your dentist will give u some pain prescription. If u have pain it will not be like a toothache.

you wont have much pain afterward, the worst part is the bleeding. if you have exess bleeding then bite on a tea bag. it helps

Sorry you have to have this done. Yes it will hurt. Follow your dentist orders and you should be fine.
