Im looking to gain 10 pounds in less than 1 month. Someone suggested that I eat only meat for a couple weeks. Is this heathy? Also, Ive been thinking about running to tone my legs. Wont this cause me to lose weight? What can I do to gain the extra pounds and keep them on?

First of all, do not eat only meat, this is uhealthy and will NOT cause you to gain weight, you need carbs in your diet to do that. Running shouldn't cause you to lose weight, because you will gain muscle(which is heavy) Just make sure you increase your caloric intake. Eat the same healthy foods, just eat more.Eat higher calorie fruits and veggies (bananas, carrots, apples basically any fruit and veggie that is not watery.

protein! Eat lean meat, eat peanutbutter, ask your doctor about taking some protein powder, my doc prescribed me some to take, and it actually doesn't taste to bad.

Eat healthy high calorie foods like nuts, legumes, wheat crackers.

Never be plain. Top your toast with maregines made with healthy fats, peanut butter, jelly. add cheese to your scrambled eggs. This will add calories without filling you up. Cook with healthy olive oil and sprinkle it on your saled, add eggs, crackers and other filling stuff to your salads. fill omelets with cheese and veggies. Order creamy soups.

Swich to whole grains, there healthier and more calorie dense. Eat complex carbohydrates, not loads of sugar.

Eat 3 meals and at least 3 snacks.

here are some healthy high calorie snack ideas.

1. plain full fat yogurt and frozen berries blended together and some peanuts mixed, makes a great dip.

2. Cheesy garlic bread made with whole wheat bread.

3.peanut butter on toast with bananas washed down with full fat milk.

4.whole wheat blueberry muffins, or pancakes

5. Pasta!

6. homemade pizza.

You may also want to consider weight training

to gain weight in a healthy way, you should eat 500 more calories than you need. If you are 160lb..add a 0 to that..so 1600 calories.
1600 + 500 = 2100

in that way..you should be gaining 1-2 pounds a week.

I wouldn't say only eating meat for a couple weeks is healthy..you should be taking in carbs, fats, and protein all together for a balanced diet. Eating a lot of carbs is actually an easy way of gaining weight (that's why atkins pretty much restricts carbs in order to lose weight). So do the opposite!

And eating all that protein will cause a lot of bloating.

Reduce the cardio. Cardio increases heart rate..makes you burn fat. Don't take it out of your regimen though..it's good for your heart

Gain weight? You are the first lady I have ever met that has that question. Well, here is what I know from a body building friend. Drinking protein shakes and eating LEAN proteins while lifting weights will build muscle and you will gain weight. You don't want to do a lot of cardio (so run maybe a mile a day), you want to do strength training. Lots of weights because you need muscle to gain lots of healthy weight. I don't know how easily it is to do in a month however.
Good luck!

These are some points, which would help in increasing your weight:

Eating: The first important point to increase your weight is to eat well. Eat more than you burn calories. Eating food, which contains more fat is good for people who are thin. Drinking milk, cheese, chicken meat etc are some foods, which contain more fat.

Exercise: Most people think that thin people should not exercise, as they could get even thinner. But it is recommended that they exercise so that they feel hungrier and eat more. Taking nutritious

food would help the body gain weight. Do not lift heavy weight dumbbells in a gym; instead opt for low weight and do more repetitions.

Eating only meat is not healthy. Eat some fruits and vegetables too. Running will at first cause you to lose some fat but you will gain weight once you gain muscle. Muscle takes up less space but weighs more.

Running doesn't necessarily cause you to lose weight. Why? Muscle weighs more than fat. Meat is a very important staple in losing fat since it's high in protein, which in turn helps you build muscle.

Quite honestly, if you're looking to pack on the weight in muscle; eat red meat, chicken, and turkey. Also, weight train.

Eating meat won't cause you to gain weight at all, in fact, it'll do the opposite. You should eat foods high in carbs like white bread, cakes, watermelon, rice, potatoes, energy bars...etc...also remember you'll put on weight if you add muscle...anyhoots, that's my 2 cents
