Oakley's are icecool man !! but i myself prefer SIXSIXONE and FOX, but to really look for gloves just take in consideration of.

1. Comfort
2. Padding
3. LOOKS that fit your outfit and bike.
4. Most important is PRICE !!

Cheers

Always wear gloves while biking on the road or trail or singletrack or on city streets... while many people cite the need for additional padding, my opinion is that it is all about falling and pushing brush out of the way... comfort is down the list a little ways.

If you buy the best gloves you can you will be rewarded with superior fit and long life (for you and the gloves). Forget the Oakleys and shop around for best fit, not necessarily best price.

Okay, I really recomend full fingered gloves for mountain biking.... but definitely Oakley stuff have many attributes, but being cheap isn't one of them.

Six Six One has some nice ones, Fox and Specialized also. But some are not too expensive, so search around.

Buy the cheapest gloves with the most padding. Mountain biking is about riding the bike not having the most leet equipment. I have seen people riding Huffies that kicked the butts of people riding $5,000 bikes.

Azonic, Fox are quite fine choices----look for good low priced gloves in Jenson USA ( www.jensonusa.com), PricePoint ( www.pricepoint.com ) or Cambria Bikes ( www.cambriabikes.com).

I recommend you a Louis Garneau gloves, use complete fingers gloves for security. I also have a pair or Axxo, more heavier than garneau but more durable.
This gloves are for XC and free ride, don't use it for downhill, they don't have much protection for this use.
