Dear ff f,
Let me ask you, why do children (who have no concept of religion) quarrel and fight? Babies are also known to contend with one another. It is not because of "religion." It is because mankind are sinners. We do not make a choice to become sinners--it is what we are naturally. Just as fish swim and birds fly, man sins. Sin is rebellion against God. So when one transgresses God's commandments, he has sinned.
I think it would be advisable to you to read the Bible because that is God's law book. The solution to the sin problem is not religion(s) but that someone would change their nature. The only One that can do that is God (Jesus Christ). And the Lord God has told us in His word (the Bible) that He is not going to save everyone. He (God) is not a respector of persons so everyone is on level ground when it comes to salvation. The Bible is a difficult book but as you continue to study, you will be able to see some truths. "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Strangely enough, I find religous people to make up A LOT more than non religoous people. And they kiss too.
