Think about how you would feel if you got things done like right now. You could be doing homework for example instead of being on the computer. --- and when you are done you can be on the computer without the thought that maybe you should be doing your homework.

MYSPACE was the problem for me. I havent logged on in 4 days and let me tell you, it has helped me alot!

What I've kinda learned to do because I still have a big problem with procrastination also....is like if your studying for a test.... set an alarm for 30 min.'s and just study during that period for a few days. Maybe 45 min. ... it's a great way to store information in your head for long term memory...if you're studying for a big test. This can go for anything. Just allow 30 min. at least each day to something you're trying to get done.

I don't know...it's hard to stop procrastination.

The only thing you can do is take control of the situation. To procrastinate or not is one of the few things in life that we can actually control. If you don't want to be a procrastinate then you have to make the decision to change and then actually follow through with your decision. You can do it if you really want to. Each time you feel your brain telling you to do something later just shut it up and go ahead and do it now. After awhile you will have reprogrammed you brain to stop telling you to put things off.
P.S. Try not to procrastinate on taking the first step.....Just kidding!!! :-)

There could be many reasons. The most common reason is you have no desire to do anything. You want to idle away your time. Exact reason may be somewhere near this. You need to revitalize. It is difficult but can be done. You have to be put on an exercise regimen. Mild exercise first and a little rigorous ones later. This could be playing a game that you like or jogging or a brisk walk in the morning. You will be hungry. you eat better. You are full of energy. You want to do things. Try some of these.

It takes up more of your time worrying about this than if you just did the things you are putting off.You will not only feel better after you finish something off, but will now have time to do something you want to without feeling guilty.Making a list and stroking off each task completed can be a great visual help to encourage your progress. Try a daily, weekly, and a monthly list.I use a large calendar to put my need to do's on.YOU CAN DO IT !!!

Have a whiteboard hanged in your bedroom that when you open your eyes first thing in the morning you will see all the important things that you have to accomplish, This is just a tool. It's up to you to discipline yourself and get the job done!

Set schedules and deadlines for yourself for each portion of a project or task - and adhere to them. Reward yourself with a little something after each task or project is done ahead of time correctly. The more ahead of time, the bigger the treat.

I use to have that problem. I just tricked myself into believing it was sooner. If a paper is due on the 15th I told myself it was due on the 1st. That way if it was last minute on the 1st, it wasn't last minute on the 15th.

have a calender and make deadlines for yourself..check it everyday so you know when things need to be done. get them done as soon as you can, then you dont have to worry about it so you can move on to otther things. good luck
ps. ( im the same way, but this does help)

Get out of this mode and put yourself into a routine, going to the gym could help you get going

I have this same "problem" and I have just embraced it. You probably work much better under pressure, right? As long as you actually get things done, I wouldn't try to get rid of this "problem"
