I was just wondering if all those veterans records and files that were lost, were ever recoved? If not, then what is going to happen to those whose information was lost? It was all over the news at one point, but then, I never heard much about it...so I have no idea if they found them or not. They would still have proof that the people actually served in the military though, right?

The computer containing the Veterans' Administration data that caused such a stir was recovered. Forensic examination of the computer indicates that the encrypted records were never accessed.

I can only hope that's true, as my records were among the ones on that computer.

And, yes, it was in the news. Anybody paying attention would have seen the reports.

Yes, they will still have proof that people served in the military. there's sources as medical and other~ I think they do have different ways to find out and confirm service time.

Funny, isn't it? We never hear any follow-ups on things like that. No follow-ups on the incident at Heathrow Airport either. Were those 'perpetrators' ever caught and convicted, or was that just an event staged by the U.S. government to boost George W. Bush's sagging approval ratings in the polls? -RKO-
