your question makes no sense. Having faith is believing and knowing that God is all powerful and His will be done.
A little 4 year girl that went to our church was found to have a cancer, a tumor the size of an orange in her brain. The rational doctor said their was no hope for her. Wouldn't the rational thing to do be planning for her funeral? Well our church laid hands on her and prayed over this little girl and have been for the last 3 years. Shes now 7 and the tumor is gone. The only thing that explains her healing is God answering our prayers. Even her doctors were confused about her recovery. I have many more examples of God answering the prayers of the faithful that rational people thought were a waste of time.
Open your heart and mind to God and see what He says to you. With God for you, who can be against you.

Everyone has faith in something, even atheists have faith that their belief that God doesn't exist is right since they can't prove it.
Evolutionists have faith that their belief in evolution is right because there is no proof to support it, since life can't evolve from non-life, and that exposes the fault in evolution for it can't explain how the very first life form came into existence.
Drivers have faith the car's brakes will work when they push the brake pedal.
Faith is not just for religion. Therefore having doesn't mean losing rational thought.

Faith and rational thought should be one and the same.
Many think faith is a believe in something unprovable.
That's just crazy.
Faith is built on knowledge.

Doing away with rational thought is what people do when they no longer are able to have healthy opinions. Having faith is believing in God who we cannot see but when we choose to take the step of faith we can feel His presence and He speaks to us through dreams and visions and His word. Thus confirming that He is real. I know my God is real I have no doubt.
I guess it is silly to believe in the wind too.

In my opinion; rational thoughts are based on humans morals and creativity while faith is based on God's morals & creation...they do not always line up!
We think that the rational thoughts are OK but who knows really?
Good question ~~~

thank you to your question, that's yet another concept scary one isn't it? First i could prefer to share a scripture: 2Corinthians 4:18 jointly as we glance no longer on the failings that are considered, yet on the failings which at the instant are not considered: for the failings that are considered are temporal; however the failings which at the instant are not considered are eternal. we can see from this scripture that each thing you are able to bodily see which includes your eyes are non everlasting. however the invisible issues ( the failings you are able to no longer see which includes your actual eyes ) are eternal. i've got faith like those invisible issues is what you have been conversing approximately on your question, those issues that God has made and has additionally declared they are going to final continually. As we glance around we can see the earth and how that's now, and all of us know that sooner or later it too would be replaced ( Rev. 21:a million ), or maybe our own physique that's so splendidly made, as believers in Jesus our bodies would be replaced in an on the spot. ( I Corinthians 15:fifty one-fifty 4 ) God has giving us all souls and those souls will stay continually, there are basically 2 places that folk spend eternity. In Heaven with God, or in Hell without God continually. God has no excitement in people going to Hell, that's the reason He sent His Son Jesus Christ to take your punishment on the flow, Jesus paid the cost for the sins of the worldwide to reconcile us to God. God raised Jesus from the ineffective, and Jesus is alive sitting on the spectacular hand of God. God does tutor delight in a sinner that turns to Him, and believes on Him and His Son Jesus Christ. Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I stay, saith our lord god, I have no excitement interior the dying of the depraved; yet that the depraved turn from his way and stay: turn ye, turn ye out of your evil strategies; for why will ye die, O domicile of Israel?

My husband and I were having problems, we started going to counseling, he suggested that we continually give to eachother, and expect to receive nothing in return. This act goes against all logic. Most people want give and take, or just take out of their relationships. Well, when we went against our natural desires and logic, we became more in love with eachother than ever. This is something that cant be proven.
So rationally, logically, science must be right, even though its all theory, because it can be measured to an extent. But my faith has proven to be fruitful.

doing away with rational thought...that really has nothing to do with faith. Faith is just believing and following God even if yuo can't physically see him.

Faith is like an invisible power, that motivates you, lift up your spirit, be more confident, and you truely can rely on. While, rational is just a way of thinking and acting ratioanlly.

Faith is belief in things unseen. Belief in heaven, God etc, even though we don't see them. I can still think rationally and have faith. I do it every day. Just bc I don't see God in front of me, doesn't mean He doesn't exist. Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough.
