Girl ... hell no.. That may make it not ever happen between u 2. Besides no one is playing those type games anymore.. What if he played like he had a girlfriend? How would u feel> Just let him know that you have somewhat of the crush on him and see where it goes from there.

No way darlin'. If you like him a lot, then he should know you do. Let him know! Tell him (if you're not too shy) or just drop hints til he gets it. Remember, there's nothing wrong with being turned down. You'll be doing a fair amount of turning down guys during your life, so just accept it if it happens.

No because if he likes you and thinks you have a boyfriend, he will give up on you and find someone else. Talk to his friends and see how he feels about you or just talk to him yourself and see how he feels.
There is nothing wrong with you asking him out to a movie or something you know.

no he will no longer see you as an option. If you like him just be more direct in letting him know. Most guys are pretty dense and do not pick up on the little hints you ladies leave.

No, if anything he will write you off if he thinks you are with someone. There is no mystery here. Just go up to him and talk with the guy... that makes it pretty obvious that you like him.

Nope. Might make him give up on you. It might make him think you are a game player, and therefore not good for anything long term, but it won't make him like you more.
Might make him think you'll make a good friend with benifits, though.
