kids are so funny about what there afraid of. My son did the same thing at walmart. This is the first time he did that he was not afraid last year> Im not sure if we are going trick or treating because of this. We went out to eat and they had a skeleton on the wall. We had to move seats. I could not convince him it would not hurt him. I wish you a lot of luck. It is frustrating, but I thought you might like to know you are not alone. By the way my son is 3. Trust me he will out grow it I have a sixteen year old. I remember her doing the same thing. Good luck.

My daughter is 2 1/2, we took her out for Halloween last year and she loved it. She loves ringing the doorbell, a couple of times she rang the doorbell and started to walk away, she thought that was fun enough, we had to turn her around to get her treat... lol... and we took her out once it got dark too. She can hardly wait to go out this year again. The other day I was watching the new King Kong and it got to a pretty scary part (scary for kids) so I turned the channel, well didn't she turn around and give me sh*t for doing so? I had to turn it back so she could watch the rest of the movie. No nightmares that night either.

Aw my daughter was like that when she was a year old and she is still scared of the mask at age 3. They do make them things pretty scary they even freak me out . What I would do is write the main office to walmart and explain to them what has happened I think they might like to hear that since walmart is suppose to be a family store. If you want to at least take your daughter trick or treating some taker her to the mall or to some nursing homes some of them hand out candy around my area.

I don't have any kids, but for what it's worth, Halloween scared me as a kid. Think about what we do:
1. We dress kids up in costumes and/or masks.
2. We tell them that they can ask for candy and other treats that are not good for them.
3. We tell them to say "trick or treat" which means that if they don't get what they want [a treat] then a trick will be played.
This means that:
1. They pretend to be something that they're not
2. They are seeking something they have neither worked for, nor should have.
3. They are telling people that if they do not get a treat, there will be dire consequences.
THIS ISN'T INNOCENT...IT'S HOW THEY LEARN TO BECOME DEMOCRATS.

How old is your child? My twins at 2 were TERRIFIED of Santa - they grew out of it.
Make the most out of an at home holiday this year - crafts, fun food, maybe a Halloween funny movie (Charlie Brown is great!) and reassure your child that it is all in fun - ghosts and witches will not get her - you may also get your child into the fun of the night by helping you pass out candy. Don't make a big deal of the fear or try to force your child past it - it will pass and your child will more than likely not remember the fear, just your love in response to it!

you dress up in a cloak, positioned on a mask yet so as that they could nevertheless see your eyes in the event that they look close adequate sit down in a rocking chair close on your door/ the place the candy is and the two A) scare them or B) dont say something and stare at them (that scared the **** out of me i had no thought they have been there) or C) positioned a demonstration that announces 'Take a million' and the in the event that they take 2 SCARE THE SH!T OUT OF THEM!!

Halloween is a stupid Holiday. I prefer to call it Hallo-weird. It's nothing but evil and that's what it really represents. About Dead and death. I know that they have 'cute costumes, but it's just a cover up for the real thing.
But anyway, when I was a kid, my mother said I was afraid to wear a mask, it was a cute, lamb mask, but I wouldn't have anything to do with it.

My son is not afraid of halloween, but because of my husband's faith, we have never celebrate it. I don't miss it, i never celebrate it because i found it dumb, now is because of religion. My son is afraid of all the costumes though. did your daughter watch a scary movie perhaps?
