She is very independent and has worked for that. She has a very good paying job and is not sure if she would give that up to allow time for us. We have a long history and we both truly love each other. When we are together everything is perfect but when we are apart it kind of feels like she puts us aside and focuses else where. It's like she is putting her thoughts on other things to keep from getting too caught up in what is trying to happen.

She is probably afraid of commitment, and a very close relationship. Maybe she isn't ready to be in love? You should ask her those questions, and explain where you hope the relationship goes. If she is legitamately busy, then you might have to make it on her time for awhile, until she is ready to put things aside; and if she falls in love there will be a day when she wants to put it aside. She is probably asking herself weather she loves you, or is in love with you. They are two way different things..

I am no psychologist or anything but it seems to me that she is afraid of becoming dependent on you. She probably feels that once she accepts this relationship she will have no time or head for anything else. She might be afraid that you might crowd her and not allow her to be herself anymore. I would advice you to speak to her and let her know that you are in no way trying to change her way of living or competing with her job. Just that you want a space in her life and that you are willing to share her time with her projects and goals. Show her that you support her and will always be there for her. Give her space but fill her with love and understanding. i know it sounds like puzzle but if your heart is into it it will flow naturally.

maybe she in unsure of your feelings for her. reasure her that your there for her no matter what and also make her feel special buy her flowers, take her out for dinner etc... also explain to her that u feel you are not wanted try and make her understand this. if you cant talk to her about it send her an email telling her or give her a letter or send her at txt.
also if she doesnt want to give up any of her time to spend with you maybe you should re think your relasionship and if you still want to be with someone who isnt wanting to spend time with you.

I think she's scared of the what if's. Maybe she loves you too, but isn't ready for the commitment, or she knows that if she lets herself fall, that will be it. There are many reasons for women to need control. And for now maybe you just need to let her have it.
