I have a friend whos dad was in the RAF and he was telling me a story of when he was working in the Middle East!

A soldier's daughter, a young girl of three ran into a mosque without her shoes on and she was shot in the head!!!

Call that a peaceful religion- that absolutely disgusts me!

So we're dismissing an entire religion because someone said that someone told them that someone once got shot in a mosque?

First of all we have no idea when, where, how, why (or in fact IF) this happened.

Secondly, people are getting shot in the Middle East every day, not just in mosques but in houses, buses, streets, hospitals...

And let's not even get started on crimes committed in the name of other religions.

Of course a girl getting shot in a mosque is a terrible, disgusting thing. But let's just think a bit harder before we hop on the anti-Islam bandwagon.

For the love of all things green and good...

Where the hell do you get off isolating one incident, performed by one maybe two persons and then trying to accuse an entire religion of being wrong.

Hey mate, listen to this right. American soldiers have commited so many violations of the Geneva convention over the years that it would take me a very very very long time to recoun them all...The British ain't saints either!

What you described up there is an example of religious extremism, whoever fired that gun was NOT a true follower of Islam. You know what you need to do, you need to open up your mind a little mate and start looking a little closer to home.

Catholic extremism and all the weirdo extremists you get in the US have probably done worse if not equal to what you describe, so get off yer high horse and stop trying to bad mouth a religion that you probably have no real understanding of!

Many Muslims see them self as peaceable but what they don't realize is that a true Muslim who follows the Koran, if they truly follow their religion and teachings will see a peaceable Muslim as an infidel too. They use forced conversion methods against anyone who refuses.

One other thing is that it is OK for a Muslim to lie if it is protecting their faith even when their intent is radical.

There is no peace in true Islam, only hidden agendas under the guise of peace.

They're only guarentee to heaven is to die in jihad.

Muhammad's first message was 'UNITY', something many radical imams forget when they preach their own twisted version of the Koran. I believe that many muslims want peace on earth, but Islam is more than 1,000 years behind in its development compared to Christianity. What would have happened to a Chistian who spoke out againt priests and the bible 1,000 years ago? So not many people dare to speak today.

How can you judge Islam by the act of one person. There are millions of mosque in the world and EVERYONE remove their shoes upon entering the mosque, be it male or female.

So the killing has nothing to do with Islam.

Peace-

Sounds like you're making it up.

Muslims aren't inherently violent, that can be seen in the fact that we're not at war with muslims in our own country. The people who commit acts of terrorism are just brainwashed by leaders who exploit their religion in the same way that Americans are brainwashed by the propaganda spouted by Bush and his cronies - "God told me to go to war with the middle east" etc.

I am not sure if I believe your story, but what is certain is that the Muslim population need a powerful spokesperson who can educate the world on his religion.
Is it aggressive and hostile to non-Muslims, or is it peace-loving?
I have asked this question on Yahoo Questions and no-one came right out to say it was peace-loving.
If it cannot be demonstrated within six months that Muslimism is peaceful, perhaps it should be outlawed?

That's sick. People who do that should be killed. It's not a peaceful religion, although they try and make out it is. Someone should do something before they kill the rest of the women for not covering themselves in a FREE COUNTRY and the men for not agreeing to join suicide bombers.
