Ebay can be really great but you have to be sure you are buying from an established seller with good ratings. My husband has been burned once, he sent someone a check for a few hundred dollars and never received the merchandise.

anyone can sell on ebay, and if you choose you can open an ebay store, which gives you more options, things like leaving items for sale without them ending, and many others. stores often are more trustworthy, but not always, be sure to check on them first. eventhough, if you check someones rep you can still be burned. i recently bought something on ebay from this jerk who scammed me, had a perfect rep of well over 1000 positives and 99%, didn't make any sense.

What is your question...Should get an ebay store?? No, its not needed. You do not get any sales from it since there is no way to get attention to your ebay store. Its a cheaper way to list each item themselves but the monthly fee is approx. sixteen dollars a month..x that by 12 months and its not worth it.

Just list live and leave it at that.

Here is a hint: Forget ebay...List your item on Craigslist.com Its free! and it gets more attention

It is on line at eBay. I think it is GREAT. Secure buying, great deals in everything you can think of (and some you didn't). You have to read the complete description on the item, ask the seller if have any questions and watch the shipping costs, Items from Europe or Asia can get expensive. I only know about buying so I don't know about what the answer from Mr.PhD is referring to.

EBay blows. They have so many scammers but they don't really care as long as they get their cut. They are no more a "community" than a prison.
