My mother died in Hampshire in 1963, her name was Peggy Isobel Russell, she passed away on the 6th February 1963

If you know the place that she dies then you can check the burial records for that place - usually a parish register. Sometimes the local studies centre holds these details so it's worth having a check there too.

If you don't know where she died and you have only Hampshire to go on then it might be best going to or getting in touch with the Family Records Centre in London as they hold the indexes for all the births, deaths and marriages in England and Wales.

In the first instance contact the registrar for a copy of the death certificate. If you need more info then you have to contact the local coroners office to where she died. Hope you get the answers you need xxxxxx

Call or write the County Clerk, provide the same information, and ask the procedure to get a copy of the death certificate. You maybe able to do it online.

Best place to look is at the Family Records Centre in London. They have really friendly, helpful staff there who can help you with the search.

well there is a death certificate somewhere & there may still be medical records. check the files in Hampshire.
