Pretty simple solution. You're not going to bed at the same time every night, even on your weekends. Your bioclock is way out of whack. A normal sleep cycle is maybe 30 minutes of shallow sleep, then you drop way down into deep sleep for two or three hours, then a gradual tapering rise until you wake up. I haven't used an alarm clock in maybe 30 years. In fact I don't have a clock in the house. I have several wristwatches and the clocks on my computers and that's it. When I wake up I'm not groggy, just immediately wide awake, and if you ask me the time, I can tell you within five minuites. The other important thing is to cut out crap food. Especially fast food. Does weird things with your digestive tract and this prevents restful sleep. Also Soda pop. Especially the diet crap. That messes with your brain function. I can sleep like a baby after drinking several cups of real coffee. No effect. But a can of diet cola will knock me for a loop. I do like the Europeans and have my heavy meal in the middle of the day and eat lightly in the evening. Also good for keeping the weight off. And did I mention exercise? Lots of it. Get that heart rate up there and keep it there for at least 20 minutes. Every day. So, here's what we have. Proper diet, plenty of exercise, and into bed at the same time, every time. In three months you won't need an alarm clock. You can donate them to your local thrift shop.

Are you staying up really late? I notice if I go to bed really late and have to get up early, the alarm clock does not wake me up either because I am so tired. That is probably what is happening to you. If you go to bed and get atleast 6-7 hours of sleep you should wake up just fine. If you already get enough sleep, then just turn the volume up or try and have someone that lives with you wake you up.

have you tried those alarm clocks with the hammer that hits the bells? they are really loud. If you then position it the other side of the room so you have to get out of bed to turn it off. Or if you have an ipod you can set it to play music as the alarm (you will have to go to sleep wearing headphones though if you cant find any speakers to plug it into. I dont suggest playing any relaxing music though. Some metal should wake you up!)

leave the shades open-lets in the sunlight, get louder alarm clocks (radio, buzzer, random bird crowing, anything that is annoying and you cannot sleep through), drink a lot of water (8-10 glasses) before bed, either you'll wake up to go to the bathroom, or wet the bed (which should wake you up anyway). have a trusted friend crash through your door and wake you up. if you can, hook the alarm clock to the tv. voices and lights might help.

You don't hear it, or maybe you turn it off in your sleep
If you don't hear it buy an all fashion alarm clock with the big bells
if the case is that you turn it of in your-sleep, try putting the alarm on the other side of the room

Go to bed earlier. Put the alarm clocks on a table/dresser across the room so that you have to get up to turn them off. Make sure they are on BUZZER and not the radio setting.

Put both alarms in two different rooms, or put them in a far place in your room where you will have to get out of bed and turn them off.

Try to get adequate sleep and wake up around the same time every day. Eventually your internal clock will wake you up automatically.

more than an alarm what you need to do is to make up your mind .
everyday before falling asleep tell your self that you are going to get up at whatever time you want to get up. tell it to yourself a number of times and then go to sleep
