Both should bare the blame and punishment.

The employer if he's American be fined and jailed.

The illegal alien deported.

If you know someone is breaking the laws it is your responsibility to call and report them to authorities.

ICE has a 24-hour hot line for citizens to report any suspicious activity.

I am a mean spirited Republican and but I have to say it is the employers. I do not blame a guy that lives in a corrupt sewer who wants to work hard and make a buck; me too!. I have nothing against him but family first, I would rather protect my countrymen and country from the damage that illegal immigration causes.

I propose we treat employers who knowingly hire illegals the same way we treat drug dealers. They are probably causing more damage. You arrest them and put them in Prison for a very long time. It would catch a lot of attention when a plant manager goes to jail for 20 years.

But also just like a drug dealer you confiscate the property used in the crime, it IS a crime. I believe the first time a a beef company loses one of their large facilities that the problem of illegal immigration would be gone. No jobs, no illegals.

I agree. Make punishment very severe for the employer so they will never hire an illegal. Then yes, the illegals will not come if they cannot find work. We should also boat all the illegals to a small island in the pacific from where they cannot escape from.

I'm thinking the employer should immediately go to jail, do not pass go, do not get a get out of jail free card. These people are the real root of the problem, not the illegals. They are nothing more than slave owners of our day and in turn cause wages for the rest of us Americans to go down, not to mention the drain the illegals put on our system. People that are that anti-American don't deserve to be among the free.

The Employer should be fined and/or jailed. The illegal immigrant should be sent back home. I don't think we should stop there, we should also demand that all those individuals who hire illegal immigrants as nannies, housekeepers, or gardners should be punished just as well. No exceptions for anyone!

Make sure that every company you buy a product or a service from do not hire illegal immigrant otherwise you are also directly/indirectly supporting the hiring of illegal immigrants and therefor could or should be fined as well.

We should also not forget housing as well, all those landlords who rent/lease properties to illegal immigrants should also be fined & jailed as well.

NO EXCEPTIONS! WE WANT TO BE FAIR PEOPLE!

BE PREPARED TO PAY MORE FOR YOUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES!

COMPANIES HAVE TO MAKE A PROFIT. AND ULTIMATELY WE WILL ALL PAY FOR IT!

How about 'both'. I agree though that a good portion of the blame lies with the employers that were knowingly breaking the law, that one company got put out of business that used exclusively illegal laborers, that's a great step in the right direction there, as far as I'm concerned...we either have laws, including labor laws, or we don't, and if we do have them, then they need to be followed, and if not followed, then enforced...

Both. The employer should be harshly punished, the illegal should be deported. Simple.

Both. Illegals are not blameless in the issue. Yes, the employer should get a HUGE fine, but blame must be appropriated also to people who knew they were committing an illegal action and chose to do so anyway. Do we blame the pimp and exalt the prostitute? No, we do not.

While you're deporting the illegal you should harshly punish the employer at the same time if not before.

Both should, both have commited crimes and should receive punishment for that simple fact. Illegals should be deported and the employers should be heavily fined.
