Or will I just learn to manage it? I went to a group therapy today for anxiety and learned SOOOO much! But one thing that I'm still not clear on, because even the group facilitator didn't have an answer is if it ever goes away the way flu does or if you just learn to manage it the way you do diabetes? I am on meds but apparently not enough because I still do a lot of the 'what if's'. Will those ever go away completley? I hope so.

I have lived with anxiety for a number of years. I have went sometimes 5 months with no problems. It really depends on how well I take care of myself mentally and physically. For me that is. I believe you can be anxiety free for years but I also believe it is a disease that you have to keep working on to recover from. Good luck.

If you learn how to properly manage your condition it could be cured. A friend of mine suffered from an anxiety disorder and became really serious about finding out what was causing her anxiety and focusing her time and energy on fixing it. She localized where her anxiety was coming from and through therapy was able to accept the fact that there are some things that she just doesn't have any control over. No matter how much she worries and stresses there are some things that are just out of her hands. Once she really came to terms with her life and took control back she has been fine every since. She is still just like the rest of the world and has her moments where she will really feel anxious about a situation but it doesn't rule her life. Just focus your time and energy on you and take the time to learn more about yourself and what makes you tick. You owe it to yourself to give it a try. Good luck!!!

ive had anxiety for over 3 years, and im 22.. all i can say is you cant have caffeine, you need good sleep, and protein is a number one key, you have to start your day off with at least 30 grams. and continue at least 30 at each meal. Its difficult but i promise you it works... Meds arnt good because once you stop taking them your anxiety will double for awhile.. i was on meds for 6 months and i said no more.. Unless you plan on taking them your whole life, because you will have anxiety for your whole life, You just have to learn to manage it. The bad times come and go, like for 5 months i didnt even have anxiety and totally forgot i ever had it, then one day i had an extreme panic attack out of the middle of no where! and for two weeks i had them bad all over again... And then it went away for a little while and thats where i am today.. All i can say is thinking about it makes it worse and brings them on, but trust me i understand how hard it is NOT to think and worry about another one.. You will get better in time.. its really jsut a disease you have to learn to adapt to...

anxiety is life. but try meditation. holisticonline.com is cool 4 this. another thing you need to know is these meds can never solve your issues. try natural meds that can help you out. try ayurvediccure.org. but seriuosly look inside your heart so you can see why you have been feeling like this. try writing down your fears and what you want to accomplish in life.
