I used Clariol, level 3 permanent from a box. It came out bright reddish orange. It was suppose to be dark red. I want to go back to my natural dark brown hair color. How long do I have to wait? I want to re-dye it ASAP.

From what I've heard from a friend whom is a hair stylist, you need to wait at least 48 hours to two weeks. If you do it any earlier, you may cause damage to your hair from chemical overload.

I would suggest pre-treating your hair for another dye job: get it as moisturized as possible within these next couple of weeks because you are going to be dying your hair again.

Because the dye you used is lighter than your original hair color, you can dye right over it without bleaching it again (or at all).

As before, make sure you use the same brand when you recolor your hair as to not cause any chemical reaction.

Good luck!

I feel you're consider to attend no less than two weeks earlier than dyeing once more. Yes it's viable to head black crimson simply be definite you do it respectable so it may not get tousled!! Hope this is helping!!

Eight weeks. You might could get away with redoing it in six. Next time you could leave the color on 5 minutes longer than it says and you need a color with the word ASH in it to keep out the brassy tones. (personal experience!)

you can dye it again right away...if you use the same brand!!!!
just make sure the new color will be dark enough to cover the other color and make sure you use the exact same clairol brand.

you would have to wait at least 6 weeks to use another brand to avoid bad chemical reactions.
