To an omnipotant and omnipresent God time doen't have the same meaning as it does to an finite being. The scripture tells us that a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day.

Jesus (God) lives outside of the human time dimension.
"Soon" for us means something different than it does to Him.

Wait for it.
It's coming.
