California Burgers:
Alfalfa sprouts and avocados crown these juicy burgers. A combination of regular ground turkey and ground turkey breast offers superior texture.
Sauce:
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon fat-free mayonnaise
Patties:
1/2 cup finely chopped shallots
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/4 pounds ground turkey
1 1/4 pounds ground turkey breast
Cooking spray
Remaining ingredients:
10 (2-ounce) hamburger buns
10 red leaf lettuce leaves
20 bread-and-butter pickles
10 (1/4-inch-thick) slices red onion, separated into rings
2 peeled avocados, each cut into 10 slices
3 cups alfalfa sprouts
Prepare the grill to medium-high heat.
To prepare sauce, combine first 3 ingredients; set aside.
To prepare patties, combine shallots and the next 7 ingredients (through turkey breast), mixing well. Divide mixture into 10 equal portions, shaping each into a 1/2-inch-thick patty. Place patties on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 4 minutes on each side or until done.
Spread 1 tablespoon sauce on top half of each bun. Layer bottom half of each bun with 1 lettuce leaf, 1 patty, 2 pickles, 1 onion slice, 2 avocado slices, and about 1/3 cup of sprouts. Cover with top halves of buns.
Yield: 10 servings (serving size: 1 burger)

Use a food processor and ground the meat yourself. Use 7 parts sirloin and 3 parts chuck. 70/30. You don't need a whole lot of flavoring. A teaspoon of salt and pepper will be fine and maybe some cayanne peppers to spice it up. When creating the patties, take a handful and slap them against the other hand a few times to create a solid ball. Don't do it too much or else you'll get the juices leaking out during cooking. After you cook, use mayo instead of ketchup or mustard and add cheese if you want. Do not squeeze or squish the burgers when you cook. It just makes it more dry. Try not to cover the burgers either when grilling or frying. It just makes them look more like a meatball then a burger patty.

I have never had a hamburger better than the Bubba Burgers bought from the frozen food section of my grocery store, or Walmart. They come 6 to a package, cost less than $7.00 , can be fried straight from the freezer, are juicy and delicious.

Here's an easily modified recipe for burgers that are basted on the grill - juicy & delicious! I'm allergic to onions so I don't add them, but I believe my cousin's original recipe included them in the meat. My cousin's son likes to throw some bacon and peanut butter on to his: I like to add cheese and french fries on to mine.
For Sauce:
1/4 cup Catsup/Ketchup
2 Tbl Steak Sauce
1 Tbl Water
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Vinegar
1-3 clove(s) Garlic minced
3 dashes Hot Pepper Sauce (optional)
--------------------------
For Burgers:
1 pound Lean Ground Beef
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
4 Hamburger Buns
American/Cheddar Cheese slices & and other preferred burger garnishes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DIRECTIONS:
For the sauce: in a small saucepan combine ketchup, steak sauce, water, vinegar, sugar, garlic, and, if desired, hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil: reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 3 minutes. Remove from heat: set aside.
In a medium bowl combine ground beef, salt, and pepper. Shape meat mixture into four 3/4 inch thick patties. Try not to handle the meat too much.
For a charcoal grill: grill patties on an uncovered grill, directly over medium coals, for 14 to 18 minutes* or until meat is done (160F), turning once halfway through grilling and brushing once or twice with sauce durning the last 5 minutes.
*Cooking this long will cook your burgers medium well to well done. If you prefer a rarer burger, you can start checking them after about 8-10 minutes.
For gas grill: pre-heat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Place patties on the grill rack over heat. Cover and grill as above.
Serve burgers on buns (butter and/or toast the buns if you like). Spoon any remaining sauce over burgers. Garnish burgers with cheese, letuce, tomato, onion, pickes, french fries or whatever your favorite is. Eat & enjoy!
Diced Onion, 1 egg, salt/pepper, about 1/2 C seasoned bread crumbs(they hold the moisture in) and if you desire 1/2 C minced Lamb, if not the flavor and juicyness will still be there
Add minced garlic, jalapeno, and shredded sharp cheddar to the meat. There's so much flavor from the garlic and jalapeno (not spicy, just flavorful) that I don't even add salt!
