In dogs, this is a dominance thing. She is a dominant female who is trying to establish a "pecking order" in her pack. Something that works is to gently flip the dog over on her back, and tell her No in a firm voice. Being on the back is a vulnerable position for a dog, and you are just telling her who's boss.

Some dogs female and male after being fixed they still hump.
Like my male dog got fixed and the vet he went to said he won't be dominant anymore, he won't lift his leg he will squat and he won't hump. After he got fixed he still did all of that. Even down the the age of 16 he still did all of that, well not so much lifting his leg, but that was because of his arthritis and no humping, for the same reason.
And my female dog got fixed and she humps still.
So it doesn't always work.

This could be a form of control; however, it could also just be excitement.

People should tell her to sit if she starts to do this. If she doesn't listen, the owner should hold her by the collar and tell her to sit. Pushing away can often make the dog more over-stimulated. And, if she truly is being bossy, rolling her on her back (what is she - 110 lbs? Good luck!) is a great way to get yourself bitten, so I wouldn't suggest that.

It is a matter of domination, not sexual. she wants to dominate them. Females do it also, although during sex they don't hump. They hump other dogs as well as humans. She needs some training.

My female dog is little and she will sometimes hump stuffed animals, but my dog gets really embarresed. I've always wondered why also... i dont think its to big of a deal. Hm.

If she is the only dog in the household, she is showing dominance. She considers all in the family to be part of her pack, it has nothing to do with sex. She is just trying to prove that she is number one top dog in her pack. Very normal even if she is spayed.

It is related to dominance, but some dogs actully do it to overcompensate for being nervous.

this is all about dominance. She wants to be the dominate one in the house. It has nothing to do with sex or being fixed.

She is displaying her dominance. Its not sexual at all. That is just her way of saying "I'm boss".
