LOL cause he is 5 months old and is at an age that he loves to see reactions. At this point he thinks it is all about him. That takes about 10 years to 15 years to pass.

Yes, it's pretty normal I think. My son is 8 months old and sometimes he's pretty fussy and bossy-like. There are probably a few reasons. Mine seems mad a lot when he was cutting teeth (yes he got his 1st 2 teeth at 5 months old). Also when he's uncomfortable (too hot, cold, wet, etc) he seems to get angry. Sometimes we say he's "hulking out" meaning he gets real angry and frustrated that he can't make his body or whatever do what he wants. I was the same way. If you're concerned for his health, then sure ask you doctor at his next checkup. Otherwise, just relax and enjoy it all. it won't be long before they're all grown up and you're wondering what happened.
You can also find some good stuff for help in the Internet (don't believe everything you read though). I found some pretty good explanation as to why. If you like I could send it to you, or just search for it. Be at peace, they really are little bundles of joy, even when they're fussy.

I'm not sure if a 5 month old baby is capable of having a bad temper....Is this your 1st?....You didn't clarify as such. When my son was a baby, he was pretty colicy in his 1st 2 1/2 months, then he pretty much "chilled-out". But whenever he was hungry or needed to be changed or wanted some attention, he would cry & at times, his cries would be up about 10 notches which had drove me to drink, so to speak....So all I can say is that try to distinguish his or her cries as to determine if they are hungry, needs to be changed or just wants mommy's attention by playing or talking to your little one!!

Peace*******************

My two and 1/2 year old has had a bad temper since birth I think. Maybe it is just born inside of us. Who knows.

Different babies do different things.
Some of them are actually very quiet at 5 months and others cry all during the night.
Babies vary and the bad temper could be heredity or the things that you ate and drank during your pregnancy.

Depends what you mean by "temper." Generally speaking, babies at this age are NOT manipulative. They only know how to communicate their displeasure in one way--crying. They just want to feel happy, secure, fed, warm, and loved.

Possibly, your baby is sick--you'd probably know that by now (fever, throwing up, irritability, sleepiness, no appetite).

Maybe your baby is hungry (try offering breast or bottle more often and make sure formula is prepared PROPERLY).

Maybe your baby is colicky. Try swaddling him tightly or bouncing him in your arms.

If all else fails, and you're feeling like you're at your wits' end, call your pediatrician or go to your local ER and ask for help. They'll be glad to help you solve your baby's problem.

Maybe it's you, the 5 month old probably just doesn't like you. Maybe you should check the 5 month old diaper being worn by the 5 month old.

Because the 5 month old wants to control you the adult parent.
