Race is nothing when it comes to love. Love has no color lines

Race should not be an issue. It isn't for myself, but there are still people out in the world that believe race is a huge issue when it comes to matters of the heart. Those people are ignorant and quite frankly are just plain idiots. Race doesn't determine character, or behaviors of a person. It is the person who determines what type of person they want to be. When it comes to love there are so many other things that the couple has to over come communication, how many kids to have, when is it the best time to buy a house, etc. Why add another obstacle/ another thing to worry about? I married someone who is Mexican/ Italian I love him to death. We have bigger things to worry about than race. So what is race when it comes to love... absolutely nothing! Love is Love no matter what race you are!

Race is nothing when it comes to love. When you love someone you don't see color, just that person for who they are. Sadly, society has never fully accepted mix raced relationships, out of ignorance and taught prejudice.

I married a man whom was born from Mexican parents, at 3 days old he was adopted by a white family. We knew each other growing up and were always close friends. I never saw him as a Mexican, some people say it is because he was raised in a white household, but I know it is just because of who he is. His birth parents have been apart of his life, and they are wonderful people, just were not financially able at the time to properly care for him. I honestly believe that even if he was with her birth parents, that we would have been friends and would still have ended up marrying. We get strange looks, and people have made comments, but we let is slide, because we know that what we have is more powerful than the words of ignorance that are spoken about us.

I would like to think it should mean nothing. Anyway I am a mixed race (black and white) who has married a Caucasian and I must say that after the marriage he has made comments which would mean that I had been 'lucky' or 'luckier' than other black women cause I had married a 'white' guy. I was very disappointed to hear that from the one I loved, but sometimes you will see that racism has set very deep roots on virtually everyone these days.

It's nothing. Love doesn't have a race. It's often outside factors that either accept or deny the fact.

When it comes to Love, race is what you do when you see each other from afar and your arms reach out towards each other and you "race" towards one another and embrace and kiss passionately.

That is ALL that race should ever be when it comes to Love!!!!

race has nothing to do with anything, it's just where you were born, we are all the same colour when the lights are off.
