Hoe do u download?

i really need to download something how do u download its very important

If you're using internet explorer to download:

1. Move the cursor to the things that you want to download.
2. Right Click the mouse.
3. Choose "Save Target As..."
4. Choose the folder you want to save, then click save.
5. Wait till it finish download.

the 1st initial download is allways the worst for a novice but its quite straightforward
when you find the file you wish to download,you must 1)click the download link 2)if you are using service pack 2 you will get a yellow information bar at the top of the page,if you trust the site you are using click this bar and then click download 3) you will then get a saving dialog window,you should then click save(not run) and then you need to find the target folder were you will save the file(its best to create new folder before you start download,go into your c drive and create a new folder and call it "downloads 1"),and when you are looking for a target folder just navigate to that folder and then click save
your download will then start downloading to your chosen folder,and unless you change it,all downloads from then on will be saved to that folder
this is quite handy as you can keep a libary of all your downloads and if one did get infected it is seperate to the rest of the system

well it depends on what and where do you want to download,
if it was a link, right click with your button on it and choose save target as...
a window will appear, choose the destination, let's make it easy and choose desktop, so it is easier for you to find, look at the first white taaaaaaaaaaall box at the bottom of the save window, you will see the file's name followd by 3 letters, these are called file format, if they are one of the following:
.mp3
.wma
.rm
.ogg
.mid
.wav....etc then these are music files

if it was one of the following:
.tiff
.jpg or .jpeg "The same"
.bmp
.gif...Then these are Photos

if they were one of the following
.wmv
.mpeg or mpg
.ram
.mov...then these are movies

Now...the most rediculous list, which is website, it is usful "When you download or save webpages like:
.php
.htm or .html
.dat...then these are websites...
it is better to click on the link, so you won't be confused by downloading millions of webpages while you don't need them.

cancel the box when it appears, we'll download the file in a moment, now click with the right mouse button on the link and choose save target as.

you see, it is the same box, click on the save in box and choose your desktop.

NOTE: that the first box in the bottom of the window has the file name AND the file format .mp3 which indicates that it is a music file.

click save and wait for the downloading to be completed, click on Open and listen to the music! That's everything pretty much

you need to practice to save more files until you can download HUGE stuff from torrent then you would be INVINCIBLE!!!

Every software program on every webpage that has software to download has either their own download link, or redirect you to a download line like say http:www.zdnet.com, or http:www.majorgeeks.com, etc. etc.

When you are at the download link you will either have an arrow point down says, "download" and you left click on the arrow with your mouse. If there is a link the you left click with your mouse on the link.

When your download appears on our screen, you have the option to left click with your mouse on open and the program will start to download to your desktop, or you can click save. If you click save you will have to tell the program where to save like "my documents", "my desktop", etc. etc. Then you just find the downloaded program and open an it will start the installation with an installer wizard that will guide you through the instllatation.

Click on the link to download
You should get a window asking if you want to run or save the file.
click "save."
Now, you will get the "save as" window.
At the top, indicate the folder in which you want to save the file.
At the bottom, give the file a name.
Below that, for type, select a type.

Personally, I make life easier by downloading to the desktop.
When I close, I simply cut/paste to the directory I wish.
