It just seems wierd that despite starting in the middle east the westernized version of Christianity is so removed from the Jewish and Muslum faiths. Is this just something that was changed duing the Crusades and basically made into a religion that suited the Europeans better at that time?

One remarkable thing to look at is eastern Christian traditions such as the Eastern Orthodox church, which split off fairly early in Christian history and was actually attacked during the Crusades along with those from other traditions. There was also a Coptic Christian tradition in Egypt and Ethiopia, which to some extent is still around today. There are some pretty interesting differences between those churches and western ones.

I think a lot of the difference has to do with the spread of early Christianity through Greece, followed by the revival of classical thought during the enlightenment. That gave many western Christian traditions a more individualized and philosophical edge. I think you could also argue that the power structures and divisions of European society were brought into Christianity. As they tried to understand Christianity they brought to it a lot of their culture and society.

This requires a lengthy answer for one to understand the events
and circumstances behind this phenomenon. In short in the year 1332AD the Antichrist ( Satan ) wanted man to change their understanding and faith in the word of God. Philosophy and science were, (which are of man) the sole criteria of Sacred Scripture thus destroying Jesus' deposit of faith to the church and its authoritative and authentic teachings which is still true to this day. Added to this was the Protestant Reformation in Scripture alone
theology allowing anyone to interpret Sacred Scripture further degrading the truth in faith of the word of God. This allowed the development of many different sects of Christianity which you
see today
