Even now, multi-robot controllers are common, mobility is on the rise, and some units ... In the near term, robots already are replacing CNC machines....

pls check the source which sez YES!

Need to check with your question.

CNCs are programmed right then and now to suit multiple machining processes according to requirement and specifications viz dimensional characteristics, parameters and length/depth of cut as impliccable. (as mostly used in Mechanical/Production)

Robot is a pre-programmed machine that can be extensively used where man or human working becomes out of scope(RADAR, other harmful atmosphere). The advantage over CNC is the extensive usage of the machine as human /labour work continously.

Robot cannot replace a CNC machine, at certain conditions because a robot need not be given an instruction repeatedly for a well known problem. Say a Fire-Alarm robot identifies the increase in temperature and prepares on its self to cut-oof the power in a room. This recollection on its self cannot occur in cases of CNC machines.

CNC machines work dynamically for a given program, but robots donot!

Robot cannot replace CNC machine... this will fall incomplete only to show that you need to describe the conditions too.

CNC machine were the robot of their time, still in use to day.

CNC machine, stands for Cincinnati Numerical Control Machine Company.

I am sure company is coming up with more automated more versatile new models to meet the industry demand.

The original machines had a paper tape, that control the machine. I am sure they may be at a stage, so that they can give verbal commands to the machine, the technology is here to stay.

Most of the stuff is, way behind the experimental advances, as most industries are cost and demand driven.

Things get introduced as the demand dictates.

Leonardo Davich could have put a ball on the moon , but its time came in 1969, when we had first unman landing by Russia on the moon.
