Have you ever wondered what the lions den must have looked like?Could it have been like an underground cave or a large stadium arena with a stone wall around it?Amazing how Daniel took that step of faith and believed in God for a miracle.I see that teaches us to trust in God.

Daniel 6:16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

Defination of lions den-From a root corresponding to H1461; a pit (for wild animals) (as cut out): - den.

It wasn't a cave, but a pit that lions fell into and could not get out of. Like a trap to catch them and hold them.

Faith is an awesome thing in a persons' life. God has done miraculous things in the lives of those who live by fatih in God and in His will for them.

That man who ran the orphanage in that country that was destroyed by the tsunami several years ago, had tiny boat that wasn't big enough to hold the orphans, but he piled them on top of each other, leaving no lap empty.

As the mamouth size tidel wave got right up to them, the man, stood in the boat and with his hands held above him, shouted " in the name of Jesus, do not cover us". and the great wall of water carried them safely to shore, because it split and went around them and did not cover them.

It was the faith in God and the power behind that faith that made that wall of water obey him.

Luke 17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

God says this in the bible and it is the truth. And that man lived to use that faith and tells about it. Praise the Lord!!

To answer your question, the lions den was probably like an underground cave rather than like a stadium.
It is interesting to me to notice that Daniel had a place to prat, and others knew about it. I also remember Christ often prayed in the Garden of Gethsemanr (his place to pray).

Carried away (to Baby-lon) Daniel notably had "night visions" (night mares) from reading a book (actually five books of Moses called the Law); And Daniel was finally told shut up and seal it.

For the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel is the Law, as noted in 2Chron 35:5... Mt 24:15... Mk 13:14; Along with "whoso readeth, let him understand", in accordance to the exhortation of Solomon: "with all thy getting, get understanding", which also clarifies when understanding embraced it results in thy head(Man: Christ: God) being crowned with "grace glory": Prov 4. (Note: The head of the woman is the Man, and the head of every man is Christ, and the head of Christ is God).

Funny thing is, Stephen saw Jesus "standing",
and it got him both cast out and stoned to death.

As for faith, the law is not of faith: Galatians 3:12.
Whatsoever is not of faith is sin: Romans 14:23.

As for trusting, read what John 5:45 says.

As for God is a Spirit, try(test drive) the Spirits:
Law - wasn't sufficient, so I tried Grace.
Grace - is sufficient, so I flushed Law.

As for TBN, these verses speak to and about "such":
Mt 9:13; Mt 24:5; Mk 13:6; Lk 21:8; Rom 16:17; 2Tim 3

Especially Gal 5:4, which is written unto the (foolish and bewitched) churches: "Christ[the end of the law] is become no effect to you, whosoever of you are justified by the law: ye are fallen from grace". For it's both a "fall" and a "fearful" thing, to fall for and into the (plural) hands of the God on high in (plural and divided) heavens... a fall, and from grace above such law law.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Amazing, yes. HOw many of us (Christian or not) would be willing to put our faith in our diety like that? He believed and prayed and was saved. Many people now adays would run screaming or give in to the pressures to save their lives. Sadly, I'm probably one of them.

I would hope that as a believer, I would have that same faith but I fear that I would not.

It is a good lesson on faith though.
