To those who have said 'Don't change your name, keep your maiden name, it's your identity blah blah blah...', firstly, I wasn't asking if I should change my name, I have already decided that I am going to. Secondly, what makes you think it is any of your business if I change my name or not?

There are the obvious ones, but then there are ones you don't think of. For whatever I forgot, whenever I got a bill I'd call and just tell them I just got married, how do I change my name? A lot of times they could do it right over the phone while confirming my address. Sometimes I'd have to fax it to them.
So do everything people listed, and just call places when the bills come in.

Why change your name? There is no legal obligation to do so, it is only "custom" that has a woman change her name to her husband's.
Remember, that by changing your name you are changing your legal identity (your legal name being the name by which you are known and not what is recorded on your birth certificate).
Think carefully about what you are about to do (the name change, that is - not the marriage).

social security-you'll need a new card with your new name
any mailin lists that you're on, or other mail other than bills that you get you'll need to advise the senders that your names changed...other than that I don't know of any that you missed
