I wonder why did Adam & Eve had genitals if they were not supposed to have sex. They could have been created without any genitals at all (theoretically). Please only serious answers.

Good question.

Its not mentioned one way or the other in the Genesis creation myth. So your question begs another.

If Adam and Eve were created with genitals then god already knew prior to the fruit eating incident that they would fail his test. That would make him passive-aggressive, yes?

The fact that genitals were not mentioned, plus the fact that they had two children, bodes well for the idea that their genitals were already their at the point of creation. So again.

Good question!

So this would explain the dinosaur and human footprints, and various artifacts pre-dating this 5000 year old start date. If that is the case - why single out 2 for a fresh start - but without knowledge of the previous history? I don't believe they were the first 2. Too much geological evidence to the contrary. What happened to "there were giants in those days" then ?

Where in the bible did it say that Adam and Eve were not suppose to have sex. The ten commandments came long after them.

I think God tells us conclusively at Genesis 1:27-28 that Adam and Eve had genitals.

27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

If they were sexless, how could they be male and female, and how could they "be fruitful and multiply"?

Peace.

God created Adam and Eve as husband and wife and they were joined as one, and allowed to have sex and mulitply. Where did you get that garbage from?

Genesis1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

To be fruitful and mulitply means to have children, just in case you missed that.

Where did you get this idea?

Genesis 1:28

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God fully intended them to have children. The family is the basic government and if a family has Godly parents, the children will want to know God themselves...because they have seen it lived in their parents lives.

Eve was an afterthought of God. Remember when God found that Adam cannot find 'suitable companion' among the animals (hehe). He sent sent Adam to sleep and zhazamm!! Eve!

You guys believe this fairy tales?

Again with the assumptions. Who told you that they weren't supposed to have sex? God LOVES sex! Read the Song of Solomon if you doubt it! That's about Jesus and His Church! I think we'll even have sex in Heaven. Just no kids, and no monogamy. Sweet!

They were supposed to repopulate the Earth in God's name apparently. Can't do that without sex.

It is not correct to think they were not to have sex.
God told them to have sex. Genesis 1:28.
The idea that original sin was sex is an idea of the Catholic church.
The Catholic church has got it wrong on a number of occasions.
Better to stick with bible.
