I am always tired. I can get a full night's sleep every day for a month, yet I am still tired. Is it stress? Am I out of shape? I can't figure it out. Does anyone know what is wrong?

I know a few people who have sleeping disorders.... i.e. they get tired far more easily than most people, for no apparent reason. Its just a hereditary thing in those cases and nothing can be done about it besides sleeping more.

I'm not saying thats what you have. Some people just have that.

In your case it might possibly be something psychosomatic... some psychological issue relating to sleep that you need to resolve.... but then it might not be that either.

It could as other people have suggested be a vitamin defficiency.... but I doubt that one personally.

If you're that fussed about it then check with a doctor and / or psychiatrist....
Then again, you never specified how long you've had these issues.

Try sleeping more, eating more, being more careful about exercise, doing things which exercise the mind (solving puzzles and the like), listen to baroque music ... and... y'know... generally keeping yourself in a positive mood. If you're still having issues then you know something is medically wrong.

There could be a number of reasons why you feel tired. Food, change in weather even over-sleeping can do that.

But just ask yourself when do you feel tired the most. For example, if you feel tired after a meal, could be you eaten to much or maybe eaten foods that drains you (sugary, fatty stuff etc) rather than gives energy.

If you don't have any other funny symptoms then I think it's basically balance is the key factor. Eat a well-balance diet, exercise moderately, relax after hard days work and don't forget enjoy life too.

Have a blood test and make sure they check for diabetes and your "full thyroid profile". If you urinate very often and have an almost clear urine, there's a chance it's diabetes. It's very wise to get that blood test as soon as possible.
If nothing shows in your blood work, then start an exercise regimen of about 10 minutes a day to begin and slowly add so that you're doing 20 minutes of cardio 5 times per week.
Good luck. Hope you feel better.

as the above said, it sould be them, also do you have a regular sleeping patten? or are your sleeping habits all over the place?

I know about 4 months ago i had this for about 2 months, a workmate had it too. I hated it, i was going to bed at 8pm and waking up at 6am for work but i waas still tired. so it could be a bug.

just take vitamins, try and go to bed at the same time everynight. if you feel stressed in the day do some breathing. stop drinking coffee, that makes you stressed, tea calms you down, you could drink that, if you smoke cut down, eat healthier.
:o)

Living a healthy balanced life means proper nutrition, sleep, positive thinking while letting negative thinking fall away, Happiness is a key aspect of the balanced life. If you're always feeling as though a victim, you'll always be one until you change that thinking. Intend what you want, and act as though you already have it, it will show up for you. If you want a good nights sleep intend to wake up in the morning feeling well rested, and believe it, you'll be amazed with what you get in the morning.

I agree - it sounds as if diabetes may have skipped a generation - see your doctor asap because unchecked it can cause severe issues with your eyes and eventually your heart.

Also, after you have been tested, if diabetes is the culprit - check out this site for alternatives to insulin (if that is indeed what is wrong).

If diabetes is not he culprit, you could still benefit greatly by cutting out all white foods in your diet (white flour, white sugar, etc.) I have recently switched from using sugar for my kids to organic blue agave nectar - it tastes just like sugar and doesn't pick you up and drop you off like sugar. Knowing that diabetes runs in your family, and considering that you may not be at a point where they can diagnose it - take the steps now to "fix" your diet to keep from facing the same issues that plagued your family.

Good luck.

Being tired can be the symptom of so many different things. Best advice would be to contact your doctor, he/she will be able to give you much better advice than anyone on yahoo can!
