Tell him you are not ready to be in this relationship and things are moving to fast for the both of you. That you care about his feelings and don't want to hurt him but you won't lie to him either. Let him know that you are not in love.

you know you should just be honest... so many times i hoped for honesty... still waiting.. for answers... dont leave somebody hanging ... its a cruel thing to do... for every choice we make we have a decision behind what we do... its only fair to be honest with the other person.. if i knew what i ever did to a certain someone.. i would be more at ease

u don't wanna break his heart, which means u too care for him a little.
just go to him and tell to him that u don't love him in a very loving manner.
and tell him that for now friendship will be fine.
he will not mind...
