My girlfriend won't accept my way of keeping clean by showering before bed and having a wash in the morning. She says I should have a shower in the morning, and may end the 5.5 year relationship if I don't

If something like that would end a five year relationship, I don't think your relationship was that strong to begin with.

If she wants to end your relationship over something so minor, then she has a problem. And as for showering at night, I guess it all depends on what you do after you go to bed that would make a difference. If your getting jiggy with it then yah you should probably take a morning shower if not, your still clean from the night before. Take care

I always shower in the morning. My hair, like yours, gets really greasy and oily super fast. So I always go in the shower in the morning - it really wakes me up, I feel dirty if I just showered the night before. So, I wash my hair every other day, go in the shower every day, wet my hair when I don't wash it, so that it feels like I washed it. It's not oily at all after that. The only problem with you is that you have to blow dry and straighten.. It can take quite a long time until hair dries enough for it straighten. But maybe you could skip the straightening? I always go around in my bathing robe, and eat breakfast etc. and then I'll go pick out clothes and stuff when my hair is a bit drier.

I normally shower in the mornings when i get up, but that's only because i feel more refreshed and it wakes me up. To be honest, i think you should be allowed to shower when you want. And to end a relationship over something like that is ridiculous. Tell her to build a bridge and get over it!
She should be happy that you are clean and hygienic! Some men out there don't shower at all!

I shower both in the morning before going to work, and also in the evening before I retire for bed.
Morning shower makes me feel fresh, while evening shower makes me more comfortable and relax.
But to end a relationship just because of wash and shower is madness.

Shower/bath in the evening, wash in the morning. Works for me every day. Don't get enough time to shower in the morning - would rather than those extra minutes in bed! Can't you say you are leaving extra time for her in the bathroom in the morning by showering in the evening? Turn it around to you being considerate to her...

Well I personally prefer showering by night.It helps ne relax and go to sleep.The thought of getting up on a freezing cold morning and getting nippilus erectus when I could have been done with the night before is torture.Why would she break up over a stupid thing like that???????Is she a clean freak?

Hey, I personally don't want to go to bed dirty, nor do I want to sleep in a dirty bed or with a dirty person. I bathe before bed. It's relaxing and it's wonderful to wake in the morning fresh and clean. I know alot of people shower in the AM, but I'm not a fan of that. Makes me feel very uncomfortable. I'm with you! godloveya.

If she is willing to break a 5 year relationship up over when you shower than she has more issues than that. As long as you shower why does it matter when you do it?

What on earth is she dictating to you when you should shower??
I wish my bf WOULD shower at night...I clean the sheets every weekend, clean & change. One hot week, he ruined my sheet! The one side is black & I can't get it out! I have used bleach & everything else!
If she is holding a shower time against your relationship...I would look deeper, & shower when you want! If you are a clean person, why should it matter??
