There was a lot of great advice and it helped loads, but it didn't really answer my question. I don't want this to turn into another penis size question - and I never thought I'd find myself asking this - would you consider your boyfriend big enough at 4.7 to 5 inches? Compared to what you've had before and what you would expect as minimum?
Please don't try and spare my feelings - I know you're all nice people but I'm interested in a more dispassionate response as that is the only way I'm going to be able guage women's reactions in future. If I meet someone new, she isn't going to be as likely to give me pity! I need to know how to handle it.

Well we do have trouble with condoms sometimes. They occassionally slip off, and its really, really annoying, more for me than her.

look love - get over this complex thing you have ok? If it makes you feel any better - I was once with a guy - that if there was a competition between his penis and a cocktail sausage - the sausage would win hands down! he did however know how to work with what he had - and sex was never a problem ok?

Try not to be so hung up on the size. It is how it is used. No there is nothing wrong with the size you are talking about. Every woman is different though. Some like huge, some like itsy bitsy. Just depends on who you find. There should be no problem as long as you know who to use it!

My bloke is small, to be honest the smallest I've ever been with but by the time we got into bed together I was so into him that I didn't care. He pays me so much attention and really makes sure I'm enjoying it and to he's the best lover I've ever had. Just make sure a girl is really worth you and you won;t have to worry about it. xxx

Y would it affect people? If my guy was 3inches i wudnt care less as long as he knew what to do with them 3inches!! As long as you are a good lover and give ur girl what she needs then it shudnt bother her what size u r!!! xx

Dont they say its not how big it is, but how you use it.
Most ladies wont come with just intercourse, its all about foreplay.

to be honest size doesn't matter to me i like them regular.big are to harsh small are gentle.
