The Raven, or even the Crow to a lesser degree, has had significance and 'evil' connotations for a long time. Edgar Allen Poe illustrated this in his poem 'The Raven';

"Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore.
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door -
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door -
Perched, and sat, and nothing more."

Amongst the most popular myths of the raven is the view that its appearance is an ill omen. Usually, the bad news includes the coming of death.

Ravens also show up in the Bible:

The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
(KJV, Proverbs, chapter 30)

Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
(KJV, Luke, chapter 12)

That bird is just tapping on it's own reflection in the window. If you ever had a parakeet, and there was a mirror in their cage, the bird will tap on the mirror as if to kiss another bird. There is nothing supernatiural about that.

means that this bird has a high level of intelligence to tap on the glass first before continuing in flight. LOL

we had a bird that used to tap on a mirror in our yard, didnt like its reflection, spose it though it was another bird, maybe that bird thinks it can see another bird in the windows reflection, but it only does it when the sun is in the right place.

The bird probably saw his reflection and tapped at another bird.

The black bird thinks he sees another black bird in his reflection and is pecking at the other bird. That's all it means.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore, While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door. " 'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door; Only this, and nothing more.
