Keeping the area well hydrated is important. Sweet Almond Oil applied to the area daily will help (just a few drops). It is high in vitamin E and is readily absorbed into the skin.

For the scarring, I would recommend microdermabrasion.
OTC skin care products aren't nearly strong enough to do even skin texture when scarring is involved.

Vitamin D. You know how they have it in those gelly capsule form? I took a bunch and pressed them until they burst and I would apply the Vitamin gel all over my skin. This is combination with Avocado and drinking water should help. Try to stay away from the sun until you see some results. Let me know if it worked ? Take care

Aloe Vera Gel is really good. It's an Australian product, and if it's not on your supermarket shelves over there here are the ingrdients:

-ethanol
-aloe vera
-concentrate
-carbomer
-glycerin
-triethanolamine

Hope this helps.
